This excellent website contains free factsheets, a photo gallery and most importantly, a series of farming case studies - over 10 for the UK plus 3 overseas farms. These are detailed and regularly updated by the farmers themselves and provide good quality material for Keystage 3 case studies and GCSE research/projects. a University of Oklahoma site which deals with all the breeds of a wide range of farm animals - a useful site for projects/homeworks with lots of written information plus photos and statistics.
International Rice Research Institute [IRRI]
a famous organisation that pioneered the research work which led to the Green Revolutionof the 1960's and 1970's. The organisation is still going strong and now on the WWW. The site literally contains everything you could wish to know about rice and rice growing. An excellent site.
