Retired farmer:
I have lived in the village all my life. In the past, it was rare to see many visitors in this area. Now more and more aspects of life are tied in to the visitors. Dalecourt farm will change forever once it starts to cater for the tourists and before long, they will want more land converted to picnic sites and areas for pet animals. Barns will be converted to bookshops, country crafts, etc. It will no longer be a farm. The younger people do not want to be farmers but much of the landscape that visitors come to enjoy is created by farming - without them, the land will just become overgrown and inaccessible..
