COMPETITION - send in a digital photo with a geography theme - any topic you like - tourism, industry, environment, rivers, urban life, village life, farming. So dig out the holiday/travel snaps or fieldwork photos and send one in. Photos can be digital originals or scanned images. Photos are welcomed from the UK as well as more exotic locations. Please read the rules below. Send single photos in the body of an e-mail or as an attachment.
PRIZES: Prizes will be awarded in two categories:
Under 18 category: any geography book of your choice to the value of £15.00
Over 18 category: any geography book of your choice up to the value of £20.00
RULES:
- Final date for entries is June 30th 2002. After this date, all entries will be judged and prizes awarded.
- You may enter as many times as you wish but only one photo can be entered at a time. Entries to: [email protected]
- Each photo must be 640x480 pixels in size and in JPEG format to keep file sizes small.
- Each photo must be accompanied by the name of the LOCATION and a 10-15 word description plus your name, e-mail address and your status. Under 18s should state their year group and adults should state: teacher, lecturer, inspector, parent, etc.
- The copyright of the photo remains with the original photographer but GeoResources reserves the right to publish all suitable photos on the GeoResources website. Any such photos shown on the website can then be used by others for non-profit, educational purposes. The sending in of an entry signifies acceptance of this principle.
