Geographical Association - Action Week 2003: Images in Geography
"This year we want young people to think about the area in which they live, and record their images of it in a variety of ways. We invite you to challenge your pupils, whatever key stage or phase, to identify one or two aspects about their home area and create a poster that summarises their feelings about it. In order to support Action Week, GeoResources has put together some material for you to use in your classrooms. Feel free to use the materials at any time of course! There are mystery images, images of my local area and images from other countries. All of the image collections can be downloaded for offline access as Powerpoint presentations. Use them with a digital projector, interactive whiteboard or in an I.C.T. suite. Other images can be accessed from the GeoResources website via the Photo Gallery and the Satellite Images Gallery. |
